I'm in Stone Town on Zanzibar. My New Year's Eve starts as soon as I finish this post and move away from the laptop.
However, here's a few snapshots from today, which I have chosen to reflect upon and indicate my personal New Year resolution vibes and wishes for 2009:
Bright, sparkling, fresh, outrageous, courageous, productive, make it up, just make it work, the sky is the limit, new horizons, just do it, enjoy, indulge, feel free, don't give a damn, don't give up, give it away, give, life is what you make it...and lots of sunshine.
My Danish journalist friend, who is accompanying me amongst others, has chosen to bring his video camera from Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar 'in case a revolution might take place...''
You never know, but I doubt I'd be of any practical use if it happens tonight.
