Words with the traffic police

I was quizzed earlier today by a young Tanzanian traffic police officer in a tight white uniform right ahead of the Danish Embassy on Ghana Avenue, who applied his softest voice when he asked:

'Do you like eating? Me - I have not?! Have you eaten today?'

We might as well have talked sex or kitu kidogo.

And maybe we were?

Who cares as long as we only exchanged words.
