During September I was part of training 50 global youth who came together in Arusha for a one-week seminar facilitated by the Danish Youth Council. Focus on Partnership and Communication.
Development lingo really needs to be put aside or broken into pieces in order to make people think out of the box. Also, development really isn't all about mastering the perfect lingo but about getting comfortable with your own words and expressions based on who you are and what you do.
Here, an exercise where participants were asked at the beginning and end of training session to pick a photo which resembled their emotional state right now, right here, then describe it in words on post-it notes.
Participants here took turning points in their partnerships but went beyond, used abstract, beautiful and poetic phrases.
And I was amazed.
