Talking about change and Tanzania:
This photo is from last Sunday's CHADEMA rally in Karatu, and I'm still thinking: 'What do people think when they clench their fists and shout: 'People's Power' (my apostrophe).
Collectively. In a crowd, supposedly all wanting the same (change), but don't we still all want something individual and for ourselves?
It may be easy to say what we have now (or what we haven't got and what we don't want) - but do we know what we want exactly and how to get it?
Surely, there is a growing collective in Tanzania wanting something else, many the same. I do personally hope these people will have a chance to express what that is in the next few years to come.
Here, one Sunday later, I regret I didn't get to ask this woman what she was thinking about preparing to shout: 'People's Power'.
NB: Do note the man in front with the Bat Man t-shirt.
